Uber Must Add a Verified Gentlemen and Women Preference To Keep Our Ladies Safe

World – Fine day to you one, if not to you all. Today, the the headline of choice explores a new feature from the ‘taxi’ company Uber.

The company rolled out a new feature named ‘Women Preference’ in which female drivers can choose to have a woman drive them around, leaving all men out of the equation.

The idea was put into place after women expressed reasonable fears of how some men act: crude, crass, and untrustworthy. Imagine, being a woman who has had a light martini or mimosa, then needing to hail an Uber. A sly-eyed man, peeking all around, lapping his lips, picks you up. No bueno.

But is it fair for all men? I say, ‘Nay’. Oh, “nay” indeed. We are few, but there are a few of us men who are noble or heart, mind and spirit. We await ladies, swooping down to extend coat and hand, perhaps even our jackets on the ground if their is but a puddle, for the fair maiden to jump into her awaiting chariot.

For men like us who do care deeply, always there to a female friend nearing a breakup or hard point. For us, who sit quietly in a room, scanning to see who may need defending. Those of us, who are oathbound to protect the fair and dainty maidens, we deserve to let women know we can be there too, their gentlemen in waiting, waiting to protect their mind, bodies, and souls, their hearts, as we take them home.

The Gentleman’s Test

This is why Uber must commit to equality and offer a “Gentlemen’s Test”. In it, women can serve on the Board of Evaluation, to test mere men of flesh against us men of honor, those beckoned to a higher calling in this world. The good gentlemen of old, the chivalrous lot.

The Testing:

If you are short of steed on which to mount after taking a cloth from your maiden, then the honorable choice is to test thy mettle and honour with blade. Whoever shalt prevail in this tradition, as we exhibit here, is thereby worthy as history has proven time and time again.

And that is the way it is. There are plenty of us men who know what women need and need to be given a chance, which Uber is stealing away if we are not allowed to do what we do best: chivalry.

Uber must create a ‘Gentleman’ ranking system for male drivers to let us be verified by women as class acts and always being there as dependable grunts.
